Overview:
Ripples is a sci-fi visual novel that centers around an 18-year-old in his last year of high school. He reunites with his good friend Darci and sets off to school like any other day, but as the day goes on, he learns new information about his deceased father that has him questioning the truth about his death.

It should already be open. You just have to find the items for pics. Sometimes it's a pineapple, or a banana, whatever. Use the hints and you will get there.
Oh , i found some in chapter 4 and now in chapter 5, should i play the other chapters again to find them ?

Just played first part of the game (trough episode 6). The story is really intriguing, but there were lots of aspects in the game that left me wanting to quit the game. I understand that people have different preferences, kinks and fantasies, and AVNs try to cater them, but oh man I just can't take every other girl/woman likes to be called a whore or a slut. I was questioning in what reality this game developers live ? Have they ever actually met any woman or talk with them? Also the language during the sex scenes was mostly ridiculous (like what you would hear from 14 years old guys when they fantasizing about getting some). I hope the future episodes will get a better writer (or the current one will get some more experience in a real life). Such a shame, because otherwise it is in a many ways better than most of the AVNs out there.
do you have to download each ep separately?
I hate to say this, but a lot of women don't like to be treated like princesses in bed. They love to be mistreated and degraded. Granted not all do, but at least the majority. As far as the rest of the stuff it doesn't really matter to me. I'm easy to please.

i already made a comment in the past about how much i loved the deliverance reference when skylar was singing in the car, but replaying right now it's insane how many metal/metal adjacent references there are in just the first chapter. talking about the new "wrench" album which is clearly tool, and tool dropped an album in 2019, the year the first chapter takes place. one of the workers at the plant is named daniel carey, evidently a reference to danny carrey. blackwater park being a location, same name as an opeth album. this game is peak, confirmed
LOL, like 3 lines after the daniel carey one i just referenced, it's revealed your father's name is steven wilson, the lead singer of porcupine tree and frequent collaborator with opeth. it just doesnt stop, awesome

I got a new laptop and copied the game directory over. The saves aren't there. What other directories hold information from the game, so I can copy them?
On Windows: Save files are stored in your %AppData% folder on your computer. That way you can easily update the game versions on the same computer without needing to carefully transfer anything. You can get there by typing %AppData% into the address bar of your file browser.
Still confused. When I had run Ripples on the new one, it looks like it created one in the Renpy folder there, but when I went back to the old computer, I didn't find a similar folder. Maybe I'm SOL.
Copy and paste this into your Windows Explorer window address bar on both computers after running the game once on the new system: %appdata%\RenPy
That will navigate straight to the save location for all Renpy games. You can copy folders straight across or just do the whole renpy folder if you'd like.
when i try to install the game it keeps restarting the whole download right before it finishes. is there a way to fix this?

I don't know the full details, but I don't believe games using Honey Select can be released on steam.
It's not even a question of whether Steam accepts it or not but whether the developer(s) accept it or will actually want to put it on Steam... that's why it's a suggestion as it would be cool (there are several h scene games on Steam, just see it)
Yes, there are several H games on steam. But if you notice none of them use the Honey Select engine.

updates take a while 6+ months in between updates is not uncommon if you want to be updated you can join the discord/patreon or you can just throw it in one of your collections and check the page every now and again

I have only downloaded the game recently and only am in episode 2. But the story feels to be inspired from "Dark", the German time travel series. It's just that everything he is doing has been done before which is why is why his actions in past does not change the future or present and in the episode 2 dream sequence, his father tells him to escape the Deja vu, which also a very big thing in Dark. So anyone can comment their thoughts and if you haven't seen Dark, then I highly recommend it. It is one of the series where time travel is done right.
Spoiler?: I think the MC is his own dad, but then Jenny would have recognized him, so I am really confused. But this is a theory

I haven't seen Red Dwarf. But Dark also had this thing. It was basically a messed family tree. I will try not to spoil anymore, if you want to watch the series.
Was Dark a book series or a show? Also since you said it was German is it also available in English. it sounds pretty good.
It is a netflix series, so should be available everywhere. It is in German but Netflix has english subtitles, or dubs if you prefer those, although I think it is better with the original voices.
My first thoughts when I realised how the time travel mechanic worked was that it is pretty clearly influenced by Dark as well, several character, and other locations are very similar as well.

I just want to preface this by saying that I absolutely love this game's story - really captivating and well written. If you want a fun story, definitely give this game a try.
The problem I had though, being an insane coincidence, is that I started the game on the 9th of September. Okay, I thought, maybe it just takes the date and puts it in game. Then I play it the day after and it says 10th of September in game. Feeling a bit off, but makes sense. Then I get to the '99 time travel section into the school and then I'm at Uni the next day and what do I get given to study? A book from 1999. I shit myself thinking I'm inside the game, girl next to me asks if I'm okay and I don't know what to do like I can't tell her what happened.
Other than that, I love the game and I like all the little bits of continuity put in there to make it feel real!

Risk/Don't risk your relationship with Jessica - это хрень. Просто выбери, что не увидишь. Hidden renders - тоже хрень. Предметы мелкие и незаметные, появляются всего один раз. Пока читаешь, не заметишь. Поиск - пустая трата времени.
В остальном игра отличная.
